Do you love your life?
Thoughts for the Day
It is half past four in the morning, I wake up. The beginning daylight floods into the room, the birds sing their morning song. In the distance I can hear the 24/7 traffic of one of the biggest cities in Europe. I am in Berlin.
I left Berlin 11 years ago. Once in a while I come back to visit, this time it is my family and a few friends I´m spending time with. It´s been a week now and I´ve met quite a lot of people, gone through the shopping malls,
used the underground. And there is this one feeling that begs for attention over and over again: something here is missing. Everybody is busy with all kinds of activities, very busy indeed. But people don´t seem to be happy.
No twinkle in the eye, no smile in their faces. Suffering all around. Life is a huge curse. This might not apply to everyone but according to my observation it keeps growing. Many people are so much engaged in outer activities that they completely forget themselves and what they are here for. They try to achieve power and prestige, a large sum in their bank account and one day they will leave their body and die and everything will be gone.
What is it you are here for? What is life? Why do you suffer instead of rejoycing like the birds every morning when they see the sun rising?
These are the questions I´m asking myself again and again and especially when I´m caught up in some stream of negativity or when things don´t turn out like I want them to. Sometimes in the middle of the marketplace I just want to cry out: STOP!!
Stop this insane hyperactivity, come back to your human self and start all over again every single day. In the morning when you wake up it is up to you, it is your choice to decide what this peticular day in your life will bring you. Start the day with the words and feelings of: I LOVE MY LIFE!
….have a beautiful day

How To Make Your Vision Come True
Success can be understood in so many different ways. The term is used widely by book authors in the field
of personal development and a lot in education when passing exams or simply filling out an online application
for a merchant account: “Success” informs us about a process which has been positively confirmed.
In personal life success is only measureable if we have goals to compare it to. You cannot determine
any success without first having set up any goals. Goal setting is one of the basic tasks when operating
a homebased business for example. Short term goals or long term goals, idealistic or economic, every goal
once it is achieved, is a success.
What does a successful person look like? Do you imagine someone with an expensive, fast car with a
Rolex watch? Do you think about a sportsperson winning a gold medal? A great contributor to humanity,
such as Ghandi? Or do you imagine a person who is merely happy?
See the importance of your definition of success? Once somebody has achieved his goals and still has no
feeling of fulfillment whatsoever, probably has not defined HIS success in a proper way. Looking at the
environment and the multiple possibilities we are influenced by, (parents, teachers, peers, church,
advertisements, television, movies)it may be clear that it is no easy job to find out what exactly success
means to YOU or in other words: What is it that makes YOU happy?
It´s good and helpful to have a vision. Let´s say your vision is that you´re fed up with your 9 to 5 job
and you want to start a homebased business of your own. Of course, you want it to be successful. But what does this success look like for you? Is it extra income so that you can go on an extra holiday
every year? Do you want it to bring you a full time income so you can leave your current job? Or do you want to be another Matt Morris of
Success University and make millions? Which of these definitions means the most to you? A vision describes
the result, the big picture and keeps us moving towards our goals. The vision is the motivation and the
goals help us to get things done every single day.
While we are aiming for the stars, we also need to look around us and see where we are successful
every day.To find your own success definitions, ask yourself the following: What is important to you? Write a list of your important values such as integrity,
humour, family or freedom and make sure your goals fit in with these. When did you last feel happy and proud of yourself? What were you doing, or what
had you achieved? If you want success in life there are many resources, such as life coaching, or online websites such as Success University. But first you need to define
success on your own terms. Once you have done that, you take action to achieve it, and achieve it daily.
take care, Ingrid

“Lightening your load” is an important part of time management, simply because you’ll have less “stuff” to manage! What “stuff” am I referring to? All the things you do on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Have you ever fantasized about ditching your obligations and running away to a deserted island?
As freeing as that may sound, you really don’t have to go to those lengths to create a more peaceful existence.
There is one easy way to lighten your load immediately, and it may surprise you: ask for help.
It’s amazing how we resist asking for help sometimes! Either we’re afraid that the answer will be “no” or we believe that no one else will do the job as well as we can, so we end up carrying everything on our shoulders.
Does that describe you? If so, it’s time to give yourself a break. Ask your family members to help out with household chores. Ask your boss to hire a part-time assistant. Hire a cleaning service once a week so you can take some time to relax.
Whatever responsibilities are weighing you down and eating up too much time, ask for help. Most often when you do, other people will be glad to pitch in. They may not realize you need help if you don’t say anything!
While we’re on the subject, here’s a good bonus tip for you: Stop carrying other people’s responsibilities. Very often in our desire to help the people we love, we take on responsibilities that are not ours. If we’re not careful, we’ll end up carrying them for years!
There’s nothing wrong with helping others when you can, but when it starts to drain your time and energy too much, it’s time to step back and let go.
Eliminating excessive drains on your time and energy is a good first step, my friend, but it’s what you do with the time you have left that really counts. Learn more about organizing the rest of your life by clicking here.

Simplifying Your Life (3)
Today we’re going to dive right in and talk about simplifying your life. One major problem that arises from a chaotic life is the way everything seems to get so complicated! The busier you are and the more responsibilities you have, the more difficult everything seems to be.
Eventually you reach a point where the simplest task seems too strenuous to even think about – let alone accomplish. You may be familiar with the feeling that your energy is being consistently drained from your body?
One major cause for that feeling is the amount of energy and focus you have to devote to everything in your life. The more scattered your thoughts become, the more you need to concentrate really hard, and the more drained you feel!
If you can take steps to simplify your life, you’ll find your energy and focus gradually returning.
How do you simplify a life that has turned into a jumbled mess? One step at a time!
That sounds overly simple, doesn’t it? It IS very simple, but it does take a bit of effort. There are several ways to simplify your life, but here are two quick ways to get started:
1) Start eliminating clutter from your surroundings. Clutter is terribly draining. Not only does it make you feel scattered and confused, it can actually drain your energy so you don’t want to do anything! Now, you don’t have to go on a huge de-cluttering mission in order to receive some positive benefits from this technique. Instead, try setting aside just a few minutes a day to get rid of things you don’t need. Start with just one room in your home or workplace. Grab a box and a trash bag, and begin by throwing away trash and debris that is no longer useable. Put trash in the bag, and items to be donated into the box. After a few minutes have passed, throw out the trash bag and place the box in your car. Drop it off at your local Salvation Army or Goodwill store that same day.
Go through this same process every day, or at least every couple of days, and before long you’ll really start to notice a difference in how you feel. Among other things you’ll start to feel lighter, more productive and focused.
2) While you’re clearing out the physical clutter from your life, consider also eliminating emotional burdens. These burdens might include unhealthy relationships, unresolved issues, long-held grudges, old limiting beliefs, and much more. Don’t allow them to keep draining your energy and focus. If they are no longer serving you, banish them from your life. Doing this can be as simple as making a conscious decision to let go of them.
Talk about feeling lighter! Without all that old emotional baggage weighing on your mind, your surroundings aren’t the only thing that will start looking refreshed!
These tips are just the “tip” of the iceberg.
That’s it for today’s segment. Next time I’m going to reveal an easy way to lighten your load.

Time Management Tips & Techniques (2)
Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing simple tips and techniques that can help you gain control over your time again. The important thing to remember as we go along is that time management is usually a process, not an instant fix.
Take your time incorporating these suggestions into your daily routine, and don’t get frustrated if it takes some time to adjust. The more you focus on using your time more effectively, the stronger you will feel – and the stronger you feel, the more in control you will be.
Okay, on to today’s tip:
Have you ever noticed that when you feel rushed, time seems to speed up? It seems like the busier you are, the less time you have to complete everything on your to-do list. The reason for that is because your mind tends to race when you’ve got a lot going on. You’re always thinking ahead to the next task, and the next, and the next. You might be thinking 10 steps ahead at any given time!
The good news is that there is one little technique that can instantly slow down your thought processes and bring you into a calmer state.
That technique is: Meditation. Don’t dismiss it just yet; meditation doesn’t have to be difficult!
You may think that you have to twist your body into a pretzel shape and recite some bizarre mantra in order to meditate, but nothing could be further from the truth!
Instead, try sitting quietly and releasing troublesome thoughts. That’s it!
Of course, you can make it a more detailed process if you want by playing soft music, practicing deep breathing, stretching your body to help release tension, and so on. But all of that is personal preference.
Meditation is one of those things that multiply in benefits the more you do it. The first time you meditate you might feel a bit calmer, but nothing major will happen. But when you make it a daily practice you’ll begin to notice bigger changes over time.
What kind of changes? How about:
- More stable moods.
- Increased confidence.
- Stronger intuition.
- Deeper awareness.
- Better concentration.
- Less stress.
And there are many, many more benefits. Try it and see for yourself!
Meditation is just the beginning, too. Be sure to tune in a couple of days from now when I share tips for simplifying your life – painlessly!
take care,

Personal Development is the Key To A Successful & Peaceful Life
New Time Management Series | Working From Home
Today I´m starting a new series about working from home and the problems with time management every business owner has to deal with. I hope this will help and motivate a few.
Time management can be difficult enough when the line between your career and personal life is clearly defined, but working from home can blur that line and create a whole new set of problems.
You may be faced with the temptation to work longer hours because it doesn’t seem so much like “work” if you’re relaxing in your sweatpants and slippers. Or you may struggle to get your work done because you get sidetracked by domestic chores and family issues.
If you’re not lucky enough to have a private office with a door you can close, you may face a daily battle against endless distractions:
• Friends and family members may not understand that being at home does not necessarily make you available any time they need you.
• Your own motivation may suffer with tempting distractions like television and the internet so readily accessible.
• You may deal with friends or neighbors dropping by unexpectedly.
• Phone calls and daytime deliveries may create additional interruptions.
These are just a few of the problems the home-based professional may face. To overcome the challenges of balancing work and the rest of your life under one roof, you’ll need to devise some clever strategies to make the most of your time.
In the following pages you will find a few ideas to get you started. Their effectiveness will depend on the type of work you do, your unique circumstances and your existing work habits.
Use these ideas as a starting point to come up with a plan that works best for your situation.

Passion Is The Door To Success
You may be reading these words because you’re trying to motivate yourself to make changes in your life. Whether you have a solid goal in mind and searching for the incentive to make it work or you simply need a little push to do something more than you’ve done so far – these words are only as good as your own desire to break out of whatever holds you back.
No matter how motivated you are at the starting line, you won’t take charge of your life until you decide that you want change badly enough. If you don’t truly want to change at a core level, you won’t be able to keep going.
What many of us do is try to trick ourselves into thinking we’re ready for change, but this falsehood makes itself apparent at the first sign of an obstacle in our path. Suddenly we realize that we don’t want it as badly as we thought, and we turn back again.
In order to develop the burning desire that acts like fuel to propel you toward your dreams, you have to decide that there IS no going back. Close the door you just walked through by deciding that your existing circumstances are absolutely unacceptable and you can’t stand them a moment longer. You have to decide that you’re sick to death of playing small, that you’re ready to do whatever it takes to make some changes, and then you have to commit to TAKE ACTION!
You will only be successful at this if your goals are important enough to empower and inspire you even in the face of obstacles. What makes a goal important?
Choose a goal that makes you feel incredibly passionate. Make it something that MEANS something to you. The more passionate you are about your goals, the more likely you will be to continue on through obstacles and challenges, and the greater your chances for success will be.
You should also feel excited about the possibility of change in your life. Stir up your emotions and allow yourself to be filled with excitement and awe about the possibilities before you. This may prove challenging because many of us have become so accustomed to holding an attitude of resignation and defeat that we’ve forgotten how to get really excited about something. Learn how to let your emotions run wild and fuel your desire for positive change, and you will find yourself with a greater amount of motivation than you’ve ever experienced before.
Finally, your goals should be life-changing. Don’t pick a goal just for the sake of having something to do with your time. Make it a goal that will have powerful, life-changing effects. Whether your goal is related to your career, health, family, romantic life or anything else, you’ve GOT to make it something that will have a huge impact on you and your life circumstances. Make it something that would so drastically change your life that you’d never be tempted to settle into mediocrity again.
Have a wonderful day!

Energy Healing - an ancient technique
You have probably come across exotic-sounding terms such as “chakra”, “prana”, “aura”, and “tantra” in your course of reading books on spirituality, sex, and healing in the New Age literature section of the bookstore. But what’s the real scoop behind these exotic vocabularies?
Are All Energy Healings the Same?
Chakra or energy center is a term used in Pranic healing, an ancient Hindu system of energy healing. “Prana” means life energy. “Aura” is another terminology traced to Pranic healing. Aura is a non-physical body that consists of energy, which exists along with our physical body. The aura that covers our body is said to have seven layers pertaining to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of an individual as manifested by energy. Studying the color and thickness of auras give ideas on the state of health of individuals. Six colors are associated with aura and interpreted into six personalities. These colors are all present in an individual but one or two are more pronounced.
Green – ambitious achiever
Blue – spiritual peacemaker
White – unconventional chameleon
Red – activist
Orange – creative communicator
Violet - psychic
Although Tantra is popularly associated with the peculiar practice of sex and spirituality, it is another method of energy healing. It comes from the word “tan” which means to spread or expand. The concept of connectedness is a recurring theme in Tantric writings on sex and spirituality. As a method of healing, spirituality and sex figure prominently. It is presupposed that the union of man and woman can reach spiritual levels during orgasm, which removes the body and mind off collected impurities. These impurities being negative energies can in turn manifest as physical illnesses.
Unlike Pranic and Tantric healings, which have Hindu origins, Reiki originated from Japan. It is relatively younger than Pranic and Tantric healings having been rediscovered in the early 1900’s. Reiki stands for universal energy, an energy brought forth by higher intelligence. Students of Reiki are taught how to tap this energy to heal physical, emotional, and mental illnesses.
Although Pranic, Tantra, and Reiki are all systems of energy healing, they differ in the type of energy tapped for healing: life energy, sexual energy, and universal energy respectively.
The concepts of the connectedness of mind, body, and spirit; the connection of individuals to all living and nonliving things around them and to the universe; and how energy impacts physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being are some of the salient similarities of these three healing methods.
Why Do People Turn to Energy Healing?
Pranic, Tantric, and Reiki are considered alternative methods of healing. In spite of the availability and relative accessibility of modern medicine, how come more and more people are being drawned to them? Here are some possible reasons:
· Energy healing worked where modern medicine failed.
For several reasons both explainable and unexplainable, modern medical treatment failed to heal ailments and conditions in several if not many persons. Research or data may not be able to support this statement. But for the families of the dying as well as for the dying patient, they would take the risk of using alternative methods ranging from herbals and organics, faith healers, witch doctors, and New Age healing techniques just to be get well.
· People perceive modern medicine to be isolating.
Medical treatments are oftentimes focused on the disease and its causative agent, which can make a patient feel isolated and treated like a mere host of the disease. Although recent developments in hospital practice are gradually promoting the holistic treatment of a patient, the perception still persists. Unlike in energy healing, since energy and spirituality are intimately linked, the patient feels that all aspects of his health are being attended to.
· Energy healing is non-obtrusive and natural thus it is safer.
Repeated surgical procedures are physically and emotionally traumatic for most patients. It is but a logical and attractive option to both patient and families to look for less stressful health interventions. Moreover, with the rising popularity of New Age religions, going natural is the way to go.
· Energy healing is a good way of relieving stress.
Meditation is part and parcel of energy healing methods and this is an added come-on for highly stressed people. Moreover, sophisticated equipment is not required thus it becomes all the more convenient for students and future students of energy healing.
The battle between alternative healing and mainstream medicine continues as both present the benefits of their approach. But in the final analysis, what matters is the restoration of good health.
